Conyza Species in Citrus Orchards and Vineyards of Turkey and Their Management with Glyphosate

Conyza species are considered one of the most aggressive weeds in Aegean and Mediterranean regions Turkey terms their invasive character ability to spread agricultural nonagricultural areas, including citrus orchards vineyards. This study was conducted determine distribution vineyards these efficacy glyphosate when used at different growth stages. The majority fields nearly half vineyard were visited 2015. Due similar appearance, identification early stages cannot straightforward; therefore, C. canadensis, bonariensis, sumatrensis identified by using PCR DNA sequence analysis. A total 252 (131) (121) included field survey regions, 203 collected. molecular data revealed that bonariensis common orchards, followed canadensis 33%. dominant more than vineyards, while found 36 13 respectively. Sequence information submitted NCBI with GenBank accession numbers (Conyza (Erigeron) number: OM302550.1, bonarensis OM302551.1, OM302548.1). Glyphosate effective it applied earlier rosette for both susceptible resistant biotypes. Therefore, late treatments could be main reason having low against non-resistant populations spp.
